Get Involved with STAGES

We have several ways in which you can help support our programs.
We aim to serve the community by producing top quality theatrical performances and enriching the lives of children and young adults. Being a non-profit, it’s not possible that we can survive on just ticket sales and tuition. Your contributions directly support STAGES mission of shaping the lives of children and young adults through performing arts.

Community Sponsor

As our young performers hone their skills, we strive to honor their talents by providing them with wonderful costumes, sets, props and lighting. However ticket sales alone do not cover the cost of main stage productions, we rely on other sources of income to provide top quality productions in our community.

Local businesses can be an integral part of our STAGES productions by becoming a sponsor. With your support we can meet our goal of producing excellent quality theatrical productions.

Volunteer Opportunities

Together we can build a strong community and shape the lives of children and young adults through performing arts. We all have a role to play. Come find yours.

Serve on the board
The primary function of the board is to review policies and make sure they are adhered to as well as making sure the corporation is fiscally responsible. Board members are not required to serve on other committees unless they so choose. Board currently meets monthly, but as STAGES continues to grow, it is our hope that the board will meet six times a year.

Costume design
Do you enjoy creating costumes? Like working with children as well as adults? Then consider volunteering as a STAGES costume designer. As the costume designer, you will create the look and feel of each character by designing clothing and accessories the young actors will wear in their performance.

Costume construction
Are you a whiz with a sewing machine? Have a passion for glue, scissors and shopping? We need you! Perhaps you are more the hands-on type, responsible for crafting costumes and helping them take shape. Consider putting your creative talents to work helping STAGES.

Committee members
Committees are continually being formed, and we can always use more people to move STAGES forward. It’s an excellent way to meet wonderful people in your community who also share a passion for helping an organization dedicated to serving children and young adults.

Set construction
If you like to work with your hands and have basic carpentry skills, we can use you! Set construction volunteers build flats, doors, set pieces, and do other construction as required for each play. At strike, you would assist in set tear-down and returning flats and set pieces to storage. Set construction encompasses a wide variety of construction techniques and materials. Projects depend on the degree of experience of the volunteer. Most projects are accomplished in teams and there is lots of room for on the job training.
