Brian Ollom

Member at Large

Upon his retirement as an Elephant Interpreter and Tractor Curator, Brian (or B. O.  as he likes to be called)  joined STAGES, first as a guy just hanging around.

With an unparalleled flair for combining disco balls and foghorns, Sir Brian brings a whimsical energy to the boardroom. A self-proclaimed “Ambassador of Ambiance,” his credentials include:

  • Inventor of the Glow-in-the-Dark Ukulele Symphony

  • Chief Engineer of a laser-and-thunderstorm combo that once terrified a flock of flamingos (it was later deemed “too effective”).

  • Former Sound Designer for the International Mime Convention (his crowning achievement: “Silent Thunder”).

In the nonprofit space, he takes his role seriously—though his board presentations often involve dramatic lighting cues, interpretative soundscapes, and occasional audience participation. His personal mission? To ensure “every budget meeting feels like a Broadway premiere” and every gala echoes like a rock concert in a canyon.

When not dazzling board members with unexpected strobe light demos, Brian enjoys re-tuning wind chimes to EDM beats and perfecting the acoustics of his pet ferret’s habitat.
