Krista Geffre, a passionate advocate for the arts and a dedicated educator for over two decades, brings a wealth of experience and a lifelong love of theater and music to the Stages Board of Directors. Krista’s journey with the performing arts began at the tender age of six, when she joined an award-winning choir, traveling the world and performing in prestigious venues like the Sydney Opera House, singing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Seattle Symphony and even sharing the stage with the Love Mongers (Heart) in Seattle in the 90s. Her first foray into musical theater came at the age of ten, playing Buttercup in H.M.S. Pinafore. This early exposure to the stage, coupled with her formal education – a Bachelor of Arts in Music: Vocal Performance and a Master of Arts in Teaching – solidified her passion for the performing arts and inspiring young people.

Krista’s diverse career as a visual artist, art teacher, and English and history teacher has allowed her to nurture creativity and instill a love of learning in countless students. Now, Krista’s dedication to Stages stems from a personal connection, having witnessed her own daughter fall in love with theater through Stages productions. Joining the Stages Board in 2024, Krista brings her unwavering commitment to the arts and her deep understanding of the power of theater to transform lives to the organization. Krista’s unique blend of artistic talent, educational expertise, and personal experience makes her an invaluable asset to the Stages team, ensuring that the organization continues to offer enriching and transformative experiences to young people.
